2024-2025 In Review

We’ve completed the second year of our homeschool enrichment program held at East River Church in Batavia. This year we had ten students ranging from First through Fourth Grade.

We spent the year singing hymns and classic children’s songs, drawing from pictures and still life, studying plant and animal life, learning games and physical fitness skills, practicing manners, memorizing Scripture, and much more.

Student favorites included:

  • discussing famous artwork,

  • acting out Aesop’s fables,

  • doing Latin stories with props,

  • practicing jump rope and soccer skills, and

  • cheering each other on during poetry recitation.

We are so thankful for each student and family and for the teachers (Mrs. Weis and Mrs. Waeber) and substitutes (Mrs. Cline and Mrs. Chumley) who helped in the classroom.

This year we also hosted Fable, Folk, and Fairy Tales: A Classic Storytime, led by Mrs. Arn. These monthly events were a fun way to share classic stories, songs, and accompanying crafts with little ones (ages 3-6) and their parents.

We are so excited for the coming school year with double the enrollment, more grades and school days, and a new location at Clough Pike Baptist Church. There is still time to enroll for our K-8th blended learning program starting in September - apply today!
